The Future School is the vision of Christine King. She is a mother and an educator who believes that her talents can be better used to influence the public sphere by creating an innovative educational model that can truly educate our children.

Christine is the mother of Onyx, 13 and Imani, 18 and has struggled with the educational options available for them in her hometown of Bridgeport, CT.

Currently, Christine is a K – 8 Math Consultant with over 20 years of experience working with schools and districts around the country on elementary and middle school math curriculum, test savvy strategies, technology integration for incorporating and reinforcing 21st century skills and mathematical best practices. She is a Teach for America alumni who adheres to the belief that all children can learn given appropriate tools and effective, research-based instruction. Christine holds a Master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is the author of several books, including The Digits Game, N3: No Naked Numbers, Test-Savvy Math, 12 Strategies of Understanding Word Problem, and What Do You See? A Visual Reasoning Book.

Christine has provided math professional development throughout the United States working with Math Solutions (Scholastic), The Bureau of Educational Research (BER), AUSSIE, Catapult Learning, and Newton Educational Services. She is the founder, CEO and lead consultant for CKingEducation, a professional development company.
