THE PROCESS EXPLAINED

  1. The facilitator presents a math problem/task to the learners.

  2. The learners take turns saying what they notice or wonder about the problem.

  3. The learners take some time working out the problem or doing the task independently.

  4. The learners discuss, share, and test out ideas of the group members.

  5. The facilitators asks questions and helps students use precise mathematical language to clarify and connect ideas.
